CARLA SHAW: Sustainable Style, Beautiful Beginnings.

CARLA SHAW Sustainable Fashion has found its perfect new home in Piccadilly Square, the trendy heart of Newton Centre!

Opening its doors on January 28 (with a GRAND OPENING to be held on March 21, 6 pm-8 pm!), the boutique is already a shining addition to this vibrant shopping destination.

After a successful year sharing space in Wellesley, founder and creative director Carla Wahnon ( Shaw is her husband’s last name) decided it was time for her brand to branch out on its own. Piccadilly Square’s lively atmosphere and tight-knit community of shop owners made it the ideal choice.

What started in 2021 as a small collection of 14 pieces has blossomed into a stunning lineup of over 50 unique designs featuring handcrafted botanical jewelry made with real plants and preserved in 18 kt gold or silver. Each piece tells its own story, combining nature’s beauty with timeless craftsmanship. Following her vision and timeline, the collection has recently expanded to include a handbag collection and, most recently, a clothing line made with 90% organic cotton in partnership with a local designer in Cape Cod.

In her own words… “Four years ago, I was introduced to this stunning jewelry line by the Brazilian artists who created it. It was truly love at first sight…I decided to start CARLA SHAW as a way to bring this incredible art to the United States…and when people ask me about the competitiveness in the Industry, I respond that I firmly believe there’s room for everyone in this space. A growing collective focus on sustainability only pushes us all to innovate, improve, and expand. It’s this shared passion that drives me to continue exploring new ideas and creating pieces that honor both art and the planet.”
